“Everything happens for a reason.”
It’s a phrase we often use to explain life's painful and confusing moments. But God never said that everything happens for a reason. In the final message of God Never Said That, we explore what Scripture actually teaches about suffering, God's sovereignty, and hope.
Through the story of Lazarus in John 11, we see a Savior who is not distant from our pain. Jesus wept. He cared. And even when His timing and His ways were difficult to understand, He was still at work.
God is sovereign, but He is not the author of all suffering. What He promises is that He can work in the middle of our brokenness to redeem, restore, and bring good.
Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works in all things for the good of those who love Him—not that everything that happens is good, but that God is able to bring good from even the most difficult circumstances.
We may not understand everything God allows.
But we can trust the God who is at work in everything.
Listen to the final message of God Never Said That and be encouraged to live with hope, courage, and joy because God is faithful and His promises never fail.
