We’ve all heard the phrase, “God won’t give you more than you can handle.” It sounds comforting. It sounds biblical. But there’s one problem: God never said that.

The Apostle Paul openly shared about moments when his troubles were far beyond his ability to endure. Rather than promising that we would always be strong enough to handle whatever comes our way, God promises something better: His presence, His grace, and His strength in the middle of our weakness.
Life may give us more than we can handle, but it will never give us more than God can handle.
This week, let go of the pressure to pretend you’re okay, power through in silence, or carry everything on your own. Instead, bring your weakness to the One whose grace is always sufficient.
