What does true freedom really look like?
In this NextGen-led service, Lilly spoke on the difference between the freedom the world promises and the freedom Jesus gives. Through Romans 6, Matthew 24, Jeremiah 29, and John 8, we are reminded that freedom isn't found in doing whatever we want. It is found in surrendering our lives to Jesus.
We can choose to be slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness. We can chase the temporary freedoms the world offers, or we can embrace the freedom that comes through Christ.
Jesus said, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” — John 8:36
We were reminded that following Jesus is a choice we make every day. We are called to be ready for His return, live with purpose, and allow His love to free us from sin, our past, and the things that keep us from fully living for Him.
A Better Kind of Freedom challenges us to ask: Am I truly living in the freedom Jesus has given me, or am I still enslaved to what the world calls freedom?
